Hi, I’m Mel – 30 years young and your documentary family photographer in Newport Beach, California. You’ll probably recognize me by my loud, hearty laugh – it’s my secret weapon for making you feel at ease during a family or lifestyle photoshoot!

Originally from Germany, I moved to Orange County to soak up the sunny lifestyle – but my German punctuality and love for efficiency are here to stay (yes, I’m always on time!). I also love to cook – whether it’s for myself, friends, or family. I studied to be a teacher, and photography allows me to continue my passion for working with people of all ages.

On a sunny day, you’ll find me sipping coffee with friends, taking long walks with my big dog, cycling along the coast, or simply soaking up the sun on the beach. For vacations, I love the fresh mountain air or camping in the great outdoors – nothing beats nature’s beauty.

I’ve been behind the camera for over ten years, capturing everything from carefree childhood adventures to the everyday hustle and bustle of family life.
